The model used by HAND-EE includes social, emotional, occupational, intellectual, spiritual, and physical wellness.
HAND-EE is a program that encompasses comprehensive fitness of individuals through education and practices that focus on: nutrition, health and wellness, physical fitness, mental, social, emotional, occupational, intellectual and spiritual health and enhancement.
HAND-EE is designed to meet the needs of low-income and impoverished communities that suffer from the socio-economic disparities that arise from the lack of knowledge or imbalance of mental and physical health. By providing the professional tangible resources required to educate and empower individuals and communities.
HAND-EE is the program which is needed to build our communities from the inside out, one person at a time.
Who conducts the activity?
HAND-EE is supported and facilitated by subject matter experts resource licensed and certified instructors, counselors and trainers. Resources include but are not limited to local health department agents, personal trainers, nutritionists and social workers.
When is the activity conducted? HAND-EE is operated Monday through Fridays, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
What percentage of the organization total time is allocated to the activity?
With an operation of 40 hours during the work week, HAND-EE allocates roughly 85% of the organization’s total time during publicly posted hours. How does the activity further the organization exempt purposes?
HAND-EE provides a free service that is resourced by the church and adjoining local organizations to enhance and develop areas that have been greatly impacted by poverty and the many mental and physical health issues that arise due to it. Providing this service makes HAND-EE paramount in becoming a community resource that strengthens families and decreases the dependency of government subsistence programs.
How is the activity funded? HAND-EE is funded through grants and fundraisers resourced by its board members and workers.
